At Karchy.ca ("we" or "Karchy") value your ("you" or "user") personal privacy. By accessing Karchy.ca you acknowledge and consent to the information collection and practices set forth below in this Privacy Statement.
Upon registering for an account on Karchy.ca the following information is collected:
- Valid Email Address
- First and Last Name
- Birthdate
Note: both Last Name and Birthdate are optional fields.
As an activated user, Karchy.ca will also collect Website links that you choose to include in the Karchy.ca system, including optional: Price, Image Link, and Personal Notes.
The email address you provide is used when inquiries are made in the "Contact Karchy" section. When sending a Friend Request, Karchy will stamp your name in Subject line; however the "from" address will read wishlist@karchy.ca.
All comments you make on the site are private to the people you have selected to view your WishList.
Your birthdate is used for only two reasons; to determine if you are under the age of 14, and to notify "Friends" (that you have selected to receive notifications) on your upcoming birthday event. Karchy.ca may derive statistical data on an overall basis for the purposes of site improvement; however, this information is not sold to any third parties.
A cookie is text file placed on your computer from the web server. These cookies are unique to you and karchy.ca and can only be read by Karchy. Selecting to "Remember Me" would place a small cookie on your computer containing your login information for easy site access.
Karchy also uses Session Data to determine whether you are logged into the system. This session data once expired or the user chooses to logout is immediately removed.
You have the ability to choose to accept or decline cookies on Karchy or any other website. Declining cookies may alter previous performance expectations you have set.
Karchy tracks when you visit the site to analyze overall site usage and trends. This information is held confidential and is only used to help improve the overall experience for all visitors. Data tracking may include your Internet Protocol Address, browser type, operating system version, date/time of your visit, and links that you choose to click.
The very nature of Karchy allows users to add links from other websites directly into the Karchy system for chosen friends to view. Karchy is not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites and it becomes the user's responsibility to ensure these websites have their own privacy policies and security measures.
All data that you share with Karchy you retain all rights to; Karchy will never share or sell your client data with any third parties. If at any time you wish delete your profile from Karchy, all data that you have stored is completely removed.
